MINDFULNESS BASED COMMUNICATION ENHANCEMENT
This 6 week program aligns multiple elements of emotional intelligence and relationship building. This program involves elements and mindfulness for building or rebuilding strong foundations in family units or workplace interactions. Program was launched as a multisite group for Special Forces. 65% improvement in emotional intelligence and 70% improvement in relationship satisfaction. There was also improvement in public speaking skillsets and ability to use emotional intelligence within a leadership environment.
Introduction to Mindfulness
The foundations of mindfulness and skillsets needed to enhance cognitive focus to engage in meaningful interactions across multiple environments including busy environments with family interactions such as DisneyWorld.
Self Awareness and Emotional Regulation
Emotional intelligence encompasses self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and social skills. Self-awareness is the foundation upon which emotional regulation and other aspects of EI are built. Developing these skills can lead to improved emotional well-being, better interpersonal relationships, and greater success in both personal and professional life.
Communication
Mindful communication is an approach to interpersonal interaction that emphasizes being fully present, attentive, and aware during conversations. It draws from the principles of mindfulness, which involve being consciously aware of the present moment without judgment. Mindful communication can lead to more effective, empathetic, and harmonious interactions with others. Coaching communication with the GROW method can also be applied for work environments.
Building Connections
Connections are built from knowledge of each other's inner worlds, including dreams, desires, and fears. Building connections involves continually updating and deepening your understanding of each other's connection preferences and as well as understanding your own. Vulnerability and making friends is also emphasized as well as making connections with others outside of your immediate peer group which is effective for first responders and military.
Conflict Resolution
Conflict is a natural part of any relationship, but it's how conflicts are handled that can strengthen or weaken connections. Introduced are techniques for resolving conflicts in a constructive way, including techniques for de-escalating arguments and finding compromises.
Maintaining Connections
Life can get really busy. Using rituals we can plan and purposely incorporate multiple avenues of life without getting lost and losing sight of the destination. Here develop ways to reinforce these connections overtime with strategies for planning, recall and focus.

Provider training: Mindfulness Based Communication Enhancement
This is a train the trainer model certifying clinicians in MBCE. Clinicians will first take the course, then learn the development of the concepts and aid clinicians in building their own groups.
